UMREPHA obalwa nomakadebona beHip Hop kuleli uDa L.E.S usephumele obala wazichitha izinsolo ezizungenza ezinkundleni zokuxhumana zokudlwengula.
Kube nezikhalo ezinkundleni zokuxhumana kuleli kulandela ukudlwengulwa nokubulawa komfundi was-UCT u-Uyinene Mrwetyana.
Lokhu kudale ukuthi abanye ‘abagilwa’ baphumele obala ngabantu ababasola ngokubadlwengula, okubalwa kubo nosaziwayo bakuleli. Igama likaDa L.E.S alisalanga ngaphandle kanti useveze ukuthi kube wusuku olubi kakhulu empilweni yakhe ukuzwa ukuthi ubalwa nabasolwa ngokudlwengula.
Uthe ubethule ngalento ngoba uzifihlile umuntu oveze lokhu ngaye.
Uqhube waveza ukukuthi akaze futhi akasoze adlwengula umuntu wesifazane.
Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life. I was accused of something so unthinkable and was unable to respond (because the allegations were made by an anonymous source with no specifics).— Da L.E.S (@2freshLES) September 4, 2019
“Noma kukuhle ukuthi abantu abebesaba ukukhuluma phambilini sebeyakwazi ukuphumela obala manje, abantu akumele bawuthathe kancane umonakalo odalwa ukukhuluma izinto ezingamanga,” usho kanje.
Uthe kumele kube nezindlela ezingcono zokuthi abantu baphumele obala ngabadlule kukho kunokuthi bazifihle bese bekhipha amagama abantu ababasolayo.
The only possible response I can have is that I would never, and have never, forced myself on any woman.— Da L.E.S (@2freshLES) September 4, 2019
While I appreciate the importance of providing a voice to the voiceless through social media, you cannot underestimate the harm that can be done by posting and reposting false, anonymous and malicious allegations.— Da L.E.S (@2freshLES) September 4, 2019
I am only one of many people who experienced this yesterday.— Da L.E.S (@2freshLES) September 4, 2019
I am deeply affected by the plight of so many women in our country but there must be a better way than anonymous and untrue naming and shaming.
